Former presidential candidate Ahmed Shafik sent Monday his condolences to President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi for his mother's death, Al Bawaba News reported. Sisi's mother passed away Monday morning, after a fierce and long battle with illness. Shafik expressed his grief in a statement, saying that he mourns with great grief and sorrow, the death of Sisi's mother, asking God to rest her in peace and have mercy on her soul. In the same context, Al Mustaqbal and Al Mohafezeen parties sent their condolences to Sisi, asking God to have mercy on her soul and to give the president patience in these times of sorrow.
