Wilayat Sinai terrorist group leader, Abu Hamza Al Masry issued a fatwa emphasizing people to protest with weapons during the second anniversary of Raba'a sit-in dispersal, Al Bawaba News reported Saturday. Al Masry demanded the "sons of the Islamic movements" to carry weapons to launch attacks to army and police personnel, prisons and police stations, saying that protesting without using weapons is a "great sin". He called Islamic groups members in Egypt to travel to Sinai to pledge their allegiance to Islamic State (IS) jihadist group leader, Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi in order to avenge "Raba'a sit-in victims". Since September 2013, the Egyptian army has been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against Wilayat Sinai, formerly known as Ansar Bayt Al Maqdis, after it claimed responsibility for several deadly attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel. In 2014, the group announced its allegiance to Islamic State (ISIS) jihadist group.
