Egypt releases commemorative coin of New Suez Canal

Egypt started Thursday the use of the new Egyptian commemorative coin in conjunction with the inauguration day of the New Suez Canal, Egyptian Finance Minister Advisor, Hazem Sherif said, media outlets reported.
Sherif revealed that the new coin with the New Suez Canal logo will be released till the end of the year by total amount of 40 million pieces in one-pound commemorative coin.
Sherif described that issuance of the regular one-pound coin will be resumed after the end of the release period of the new coin.
