Egypt's Supreme Legislative Reform Committee postponed Wednesday its meeting to discuss the amendments made to the statute of the Investment Guarantees and Incentives Law, Al-Bawaba News reported. The reason for the delay came at the request of the Ministry of Investment, which asked to restore the law to make a bundle of legislative amendments before discussing it. The new statute covers businesses of land reclamation and cultivation, industrial zones development, tourism investment, transportation, livestock, poultry, industry, and others. The law is a combination of incentives, customs exemptions and many new investor protections and guarantees.
