Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received late Thursday a phone call from his U.S. counterpart, John Kerry to review preparations for bilateral strategic talks scheduled to be held on August 2, spokesman for the Foreign Ministry, Badr Abdel Atty said. Abdel Atty added that the two sides stressed the importance of boosting ties between the two countries on all the political, economic and security dimensions. Shoukry draw the international official attention to the Egyptian efforts to find an adequate resolution for the Palestinian cause. They also discussed the developments of the Libyan crisis and the Syrian conflict, indicating the positive outcomes of the Syrian opposition conference in Cairo.
