U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry hailed the Egyptian Economic Development Conference (EEDC) as a great success Sunday, praising the wide participation, well organization of the conference and its results, said Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Badr Abdel-Atty in a statement. Kerry held a session of talks with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry in Sharm el-Sheikh on the sideline of EEDC to discuss a range of bilateral and global issues, including Coalition efforts against Islmaic State (IS) group, the situation in Libya, and the ongoing crisis in Syria, Abdel-Atty added. Kerry asserted that an American delegation representing the public and private sector companies will visit Egypt in the coming days to review the results of the economic conference to put them into practice. Secretary Kerry was accompanied by senior officials including Near Eastern Affairs Deputy Assistant Secretary John Desrocher, Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs Scott Nathan, and Special Envoy for Israeli-Palestinian Negotiations Frank Lowenstein.
