Egypt's Minister of Culture Abdel Wahed Nabawy agreed with Minister of Endowment Mohamed Mukhtar Gomaa to launch a number of projects to fight the extremism, Al Bawaba News reported. The Endowment Ministry announced during a press conference held on Tuesday its participation in the Culture Ministry's initiative to launch a campaign to increase the awareness of Egypt's children about the threats of extremism. Gomaa said that the two ministries witness a turning point in their cooperation during the recent period, stressing the need for supporting the cultural side to fight the extremist ideas which pose serious threat against the security of the country. He added that the ministry will establish schools and cultural and intellectual platforms in the major mosques to provide not only the religious teachings but also the different sides of science.
