Housing, utilities investment to reach EGP20.9 billion in 2015/16

The governmental investment in housing, utilities and urban development is expected to reach EGP20.9 during the Fiscal Year of 2015/16, mostly for drinking water and sanitation projects by 35.6%, and national social housing programs by 52.7%, Minister of Planning Ashraf Al-Araby said Monday.
The rise of investments will improve quality of state utilities in the new cities and increase the housing units to satisfy domestic demand, according to President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi's announced plan to build a million housing units during his presidential term.
