Egyptian security sources said that a state of alert will be announced nationwide after the terrorist attacks witnessed in Algeria and Saudi Arabia, Al Bawaba News reported Saturday. The sources revealed that the Interior Minister stressed on expanding the scale of suspicion, carrying out pre-emptive strikes against terrorist cells as well as tightening security measures in different touristic facilities in Sharm el-Sheikh, Hurghada, Luxor and Aswan. Strict measures will be applied nationwide, particularly around touristic and security installations, arrival halls in Cairo airport from different countries, namely Turkey, Iraq and Lebanon and a number of different countries. Algeria and Saudi Arabia have witnessed a number of terrorist attacks during the past two days, coinciding with Eid Al Fitr, leaving tens killed and hundreds injured.
