President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi received Saturday a phone call from the Italian Prime Minister, Matteo Renzi to discuss the latest developments of the Italian consulate in Cairo explosion, Al Masry Al Youm reported. Renzi said the Italy supports Egypt in its fight against terrorism, stressing that his country will support the international efforts in order to combat and defeat terrorism. For his part, Sisi said that such terrorist attacks emphasize the importance of concerted international efforts to combat terrorism, praising the good relationship between Egypt and Italy. Earlier today, an explosion occurred at Italian consulate in Cairo's downtown, leaving one dead and nine wounded. Islamic State (IS) terrorist group claimed responsibility for the consulate's bombing.
