Hossam El-Shaer, board member of the Egyptian Chambers of Tourism, anticipated the number of tourist arrivals to Egypt to exceed by the end of 2015. State media reported. He explained that an increase of 30% occurred, 11 million tourists, compared to 2014, while the number of tourists reached 9.9 million last year. A special statement came out from a member of the Egyptian Chambers of Tourism saying "tourism revenues will witness an unprecedented increase up to 30% compared to last year, and expected to reach nine billion dollars, beyond the revenue barrier index, after hitting 7.2 billion dollars in 2014. El-Shaer added that Arab touristic movements to Egypt increased, especially to the cities of Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh, which expected to contribute to the increase with more than 22% in the number of Arab tourists, and occupancy of hotels are expected to go high in the coming period starting from Eid Al-Fitr holidays.
