The Egyptian army killed 25 militants related to Wilayat Sinai terrorist group during a military raid witnessed in North Sinai's Rafah and Sheikh Zuweid cities on Saturday, Al Bawaba News reported. Security source said that the army had launched several airstrikes targeting terrorist hideouts in Sinai, killing 25 militants and defusing four explosive devices. Since September 2013, the Egyptian army has been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against Wilayat Sinai, formerly known as Ansar Bayt Al Maqdis, after it claimed responsibility for several deadly attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
