British Prime Minister, David Cameron repeated Wednesday his call for Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to visit London on 17 June., Al-Ahram news reported. UK seeks to strengthen ties between the two countries, and consider the visit an opportunity to discuss regional and international issues, according to Al-Ahram. Al-Sisi received a phone call from Cameron as they discussed the Libyan crisis and ways to find a political solution, presidential spokesperson, Alaa Youssef said. Al-Sisi urged supporting the Libyan legitimate government and its army until the country be capable of holding free elections. The president assured Egypt's support for the UN anti-terrorism mission, headed by Spanish diplomat Bernardino Leon, and he asked to prevent weapon supplies provided to Islamist militants in Libya. Al-Sisi's visit to Britain will be his first time since he was sworn in as president in June 2014, following the ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.
