Egypt's military aborted Wednesday a terrorist attack against a check point in Sheikh Zuwaid, North Sinai, killing two militants and wounding five others, Al Watan News reported. An official, who asked to remain anonymous, said 15 militants were arrested during the operation, adding the assailants belonged to the Wilayat Sinai terrorist group. Since the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi July 2013, the restive Sinai Peninsula has witnessed a series of terrorist attacks claiming hundreds of lives among security personnel and civilians.
