Egypt's Prime Minister, Ibrahim Mahlab participates in the New Partnership for Africa's Development conference (NEPAD), scheduled to be held Sunday in South Africa, replacing President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi. state media reported. The two-day conference is held this year under the title "The Year of Women Empowerment and Development towards Africa's Agenda 2063." Mr. Mahlab is scheduled to deliver a speech before the African summit, which underlines the depth of the Egyptian-African ties and ways of enhancing them, especially after the conference of the top three African economic blocs that was held in Sharm Al Sheikh last week. "Al Sisi preferred to stay in Egypt to follow the country's domestic affairs, after a number of international trips," said Ambassador Alaa Youssef, official spokesman of the presidency. Al Sisi addressed women's issues during the African economic summit, saying that women in Africa are "key partner" in achieving aspired levels of sustainable development in the continent.
