Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met tuesday with China's Deputy Prime Minister Yang Gi Chi, Al Fajr Newspaper reported. The two officials discussed the ways to strengthen the relations between the two countries during the coming period. Ambassador Badr Abdel Ati, Foreign Ministry's spokesperson, said that the two sides discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest. He revealed that Shoukry called the Chinese government to support Egypt's request to gain the membership of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). Abdel Ati said that the senior Chinese official underlined Sisi's successful visit to Beijing last year, stressing its role to push forward the relations between the two countries. the ambassador revealed the keenness of the Chinese official to increase cooperation between the two countries refarding the security issues and anti-terrorism efforts.
