Hezbollah senior figure, Nabil Kawook said the Shiite militia was well prepared to liberate the Islamic State (IS)- controlled Arsal city, northeastern Lebanon, Al Bawaba News reported Sunday. "Lebanese resistance factions are full swing to clear Arsal's outskirts from IS militants", Iranian Press T.V. cited Kawook as saying. Hezbollah drones monitored May 27 IS and Nusra Front militants hideouts ahead of fierce battles in Qalamoun, leaving tens killed. The strategic Arsal city, located 77 miles northeast of the capital Beirut, is considered the southwestern gate to the Syrian territories.
