Security forces in Egypt's Mediterranean city of Damietta, northern Egypt, arrested a Muslim Brotherhood (MB) terrorist cell, allegedly in charge of a series of explosions in the city, Al-Bawaba News reported on Saturday. "Police arrested the cell members in possession of explosive devices and seized a map of vital institutions they intended to target," Damietta security director said in a press conference without mentioning the accurate number of the arrestees. Since the ouster of MB rule July 2013, a series of deadly blasts have claimed hundreds of lives, mostly among police personnel, attacks the banned MB group has been repeatedly blamed for. Police in Damietta said dozens of IEDs were defused over the past weeks near vital institutions. Egyptian judiciary designated the MB a terrorist organization in Sep. 2013.
