The State Council's Legislation Department could refuse Egypt's new Electoral districts draft law, judicial sources told Al Bawaba News Wednesday. The sources added that the preliminary revision of the law raised skepticism over the constitutionality of some texts due to discrepancies in the number of voters in the constituencies. Counselor Mohamed Gameel, a State Council senior official said "We still haven't decided whether or not to amend any of the laws. We have different opinions and the matter will be decided in an upcoming meeting." He added that the department would send a memorandum to the Cabinet upon completion of the laws' revision for approval.
