Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab denied reports that the government was seeking to reconcile with the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization, considering it a public enemy, Al Bawaba News reported Tuesday. Mahlab asserted that the banned group had missed all its chances to re-engage within the Egyptian society and political life since the June 30 Revolution, during the cabinet's weekly meeting to discuss a number of political and security files. "They chose the path of violence, terrorism, and sabotage rather than negotiation and peaceful opposition," Mahlab added. On the other hand, Mahlab said that the meeting reviewed the performance of different ministries and governors in May, pointing out that President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi receives a weekly report of the government's achievements. Concerning the coming parliamentary elections, Mahlab said that the Egyptian Parliament will hold its first session before the end of 2015.
