Arab League representatives held Sunday a meeting headed by Saudi Arabia to prepare for the Arab and South American Foreign Officials meeting in Cairo, June 15, Al Bawaba News reported. The Arab League's assistant secretary, Fadel Mohamed Jawad said that the meeting prepared for the Arab-South American Summit to be held in Riyadh on November 3. Jawad said that the Arab side would focus on the Summit's final statement which will tackle issues such as the conflicts in the region as well as the economic and trade cooperation between the two sides. He pointed out that the preparatory meetings will discuss the issues and projects that will be presented in the Riyadh Summit, including the cooperation between the two regions, political consultation, counter terrorism in the Middle East and coordination in the Palestinian issue which receives strong support from South American countries.
