Egypt's National Security Forces arrested a Muslim Brotherhood (MB)-affiliated terrorist cell presided by an engineer in the Suez Canal Corporation, Al Bawaba News reported Tuesday. "The three-member cell held suspicious meetings and possessed documents proving anti-state terrorist plans," security sources said. The detainees were planning to target security and army personnel and other vital institutions to spread chaos throughout Egypt, the sources added. The MB group was listed as terrorist following a series of terrorist attacks against security personnel, particularly in the Sinai Peninsula, claiming lives of hundreds.
