Court to begin trial appeal of 27 students over Al Azhar sabotage

The Egyptian Court of Appeal will begin Monday the first appeal hearing for the 27 Al Azhar students who were sentenced to different terms in jail, Al Bawaba News reported.
On June 27, 14 other convicted students were sentenced to 10 years in prison by the Criminal Court, over riots in the university.
The same court has sent 10 other students to three years in jail, and handed a suspended sentence to two students in the same case.
