Cairo Criminal Court sentenced Saturday former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and his two sons to three years in prison and a fine of EGP 125 million over corruption charges, Youm7 news reported. Mubarak and his two sons, Alaa and Gamal, are charged with embezzling EGP 125 million (around USD16 million) of state funds. Cairo Criminal Court had sentenced Mubarak to a three-year prison term in May 2014 in the same case. His two sons were sentenced to 4 years in prison and to return EGP 21 million. They were also fined EGP 125 million EGP. The Court of Cassation had overturned the guilty verdict last January.
