Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry inspected the Egyptian clinic in South Sudan's capital, Juba, on Wednesday. He praised the outstanding quality of medical care provided for the patients, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement. Shoukry was accompanied by his S. Sudanese counterpart Barnaba Benjamin who expressed appreciation to Egypt's support for the rebuilding of South Sudan. "Egypt is supporting a number of development projects in South Sudan. For instance, the Egyptian government has awarded scholarships to South Sudanese students in Alexandria University branch in Tonj. In health, Egypt has also been giving humanitarian assistance in terms of drugs, medicines and humanitarian assistance to the displaced as well as at the Egyptian Clinic in Juba and Bor," Benjamin said. Shoukry started Wednesday an African tour to South Sudan and Eretria aiming to strengthen the bilateral relationships between Egypt and the two African countries.
