Shoukry invites Eritrean President to visit Egypt

Egyptian Foreign Ministry Sameh Shoukry met Thursday his Eritrean counterpart Othman Saleh Mohamed in Asmara, the Eritrean capital, to discuss ways to improve bilateral relations in the coming period, foreign ministry said in a statement.
Shoukry delivered a message from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi to Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki, inviting him to participate in the Investment Summit scheduled to be held in Sharm El Sheikh in June, the statement read.
The summit will discuss establishing an African free trade zone aiming to remove trade barriers for a single trade zone for the continent by 2016.
