Security source said Tuesday that the Egyptian army killed four militants and arrested 10 others in North Sinai, Al Bawaba News reported. The sources added that the army destroyed a vehicle and two motorcycles without license plates. It also burned houses related to Sinai's terrorist organizations. Since September 2013, the Egyptian army has been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against Wilayat Sinai, formerly known as Ansar Bayt Al Maqdis, after it had claimed responsibility for several attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
