At least 37 Iraqis, including 12 soldiers, were killed Friday in separate bombings and gunfights between Iraqi troops backed by Shiite militias and Islamic State (IS) militants in Ramadi city, central Iraq, Sky News Arabiya reported. Security sources said a suicide bomber blew himself up amongst a group of Al Hashd Al Shabi fighters in a popular restaurant of Al Tarmia area, north Baghdad. Meanwhile, dozens of Iraqi soldiers and allied tribal fighters were injured in intensive crossfire with IS militants in Boufrag district, central Ramadi, with reports saying that some areas of the district have fallen under IS control. On the other hand, Iraqi residents said IS militants had abducted 100 tribesmen from the Shammar and Jabour tribes in Baiji, north Baghdad, as they refused to pledge allegiance to the terrorist group. The kidnapped whereabouts are still unknown.
