The Syrian Air Force allied with President, Bashar Al Assad carried out 7972 airstrikes on various provinces in 2015, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported Wednesday. The Observatory stated that Syrian helicopters dropped 4425 barrel bombs on Rif Dimashq, Aleppo, Homs, Hama, Al Hasakah, Deir Ezzor, Al Quneitera, Daraa, Idlib and Lattakia, adding that Al Assad's warplanes launched at least 3547 airstrikes on Damascus, Rif Dimashq, Aleppo, Homs, Hama, Al Hasakah, Deir Ezzor, Al Raqqa, Al Quneitera, Daraa, Idlib and Lattakia. "SOHR also documented deaths of 1126 civilians, including 177 women and 231 children, due to aerial bombardment carried out by the regime warplanes and helicopters, while 8000 other civilians were wounded and dozens were relocated", The Observatory stated. SOHR reported that 304 Nusra Front, Islamic State, rebel and Islamic battalions' fighters were killed in Al Assad's regime airstrikes. The conflict in Syria has evolved from a purported revolution to a civil war during the summer of 2012.
