The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) stated Monday that the U.S. led international coalition against Islamic State (IS) has killed 1953 militants in air strikes on Homs, Hama, Al Hasakah, Raqqa, Der Ezzor nd Aleppo, since the beginning of the military campaign in September 2014. The observatory added that 90 militants from Al Qaeda-affiliated Nusra Front were killed in the western countryside of Aleppo and the northern countryside of Idlib. "Islamic battalions' fighter was killed by coalition air strikes targeting IS Headquarters in Ma'dan in Raqqa countryside," SOHR stated. It revealed that 66 civilians including 10 children and six women were killed by air strikes on oil fields and refineries in Al Hasakah, Der Ezzor countryside, Raqqa, northeast of Aleppo, and Idlib countryside.
