The Egyptian minister of Transitional Justice, Ibrahim Al Huneidi said that the committee in charge of amending the Elections law will not have finished its work before end of April, former leader of El Dostour party, Ahmed Daraag told Al Bawaba newspaper Monday. Holding the parliamentary elections before the holy month of Ramadan, which will start in June and end in July, would be virtually "impossible", Daraag said, adding that time will be needed to introduce the amended laws, make appeals and launch the electoral campaigns. He expressed the opinion that the elections couldn't be held before August. Prime Minister, Ibrahim Mahlab had suggested last week that the first phase of the parliamentary elections be held before June.
