Malaysian security forces arrested 17 suspects over charges of planning and executing terrorist attacks in the capital, Kuala Lumpur, Fox News reported Monday. The American Network quoted Inspector General of Police, Khalid Abu Bakar saying that two of the suspects had recently returned from Syria, along with other unidentified suspects. The Malaysian government arrested dozens of suspected IS supporters, and proposed issuance of two counter terrorism laws in March, allowing the retention of suspects indefinitely without trial, and the confiscation of passports belonging to anyone suspected of supporting terrorism.
