DUBAI: An Iranian man has been arrested in connection with the bomb blasts in Thailand's capital Bangkok this week. According to Malaysian security officials, the man was detained upon arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Wednesday evening. Police chief inspector General Ismail Omar said in a statemetn that the man is suspected of being part of the bomb blasts in Bangkok. “We have received reports from our counterparts (in Thailand) about the suspect's involvement in the alleged plot against diplomats there,” he said. “He is being investigated for terrorism activities in relation to bombings in Thailand.” Thai police said the suspect and two other Iranians were suspected of involvement in a series of blasts in Bangkok on Tuesday that injured several people. Israeli officials said they suspected a link between Tuesday's blasts in Bangkok and two incidents in Georgia and India on Monday. The attacks also came around the anniversary of an Israeli assassination of a Hezbollah figure.
