Tensions and divisions rose among imprisoned MB members and leaders after the execution of an MB member convicted of throwing minors from a rooftop in Alexandria, sources told Al Bawaba News Tuesday. Former MB Supreme Guide, Mohamed Badie and members of the MB Shura Council are seeking to calm the situation and refrain from escalations with the state, looking for a settlement to reintegrate the political scene, the sources said. Badie, who was sentenced to death in several terrorism-related trials, has sent a message to the MB's international organization, asking for a settlement with the Egyptian authorities to prevent the executions of the terrorist group leaders, the sources added. The Egyptian authorities have rejected calls from regional and international powers for a settlement with the terrorist group.
