Syrian Levant Front (Shamiyya) announced Sunday it has seized control of several towns in Aleppo after severe clashes with Islamic State (IS) jihadist group. Shamiyya fighters have killed and wounded dozens of IS militants, local sources told Syria Mubasher.
The information Office of the front said that its fighters imposed their control over the Al-Karmal town and Granada farms north Aleppo countryside.
Al-Shamiyya Front is a coalition that includes several Sunni Islamist rebel groups that operate in Syrian city of Aleppo. It was formed in December 25, 2014.
