Minya Criminal Court resumed Tuesday the retrial of 291 members of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) terrorist organization, accused of taking part in riots and killing a police officer August 2013, Al Youm7 news reported. The defendants were sentenced to death and life in prison, but the Appeals Court had ordered a retrial last February. The Minya incidents date back to the dispersal of the Rabaa and Nahda Square sit-ins August 2013. MB protesters had set fire to a police station in Minya, killing a police officer.
