The Wilayet Sinai terrorist group, formerly Ansar Bayt Al Maqdis, claimed responsibility for the attack on the Central Security Forces (CSF) camp in Al Arish, North Sinai, early Tuesday, Al Bawaba News reported. Security sources confirmed that a suicide car bomber attempted to stormed the CSF camp at Al Masa'ed district in Al Arish with a booby-trapped water tanker, which prompted the police to open fire, detonating the explosives. The bomber died instantaneously, killing one civilian and leaving 33 injured, 30 of whom from the police. Ansar Bayt Al Maqdis pledged allegiance to the Islamic State (IS) in November and claimed responsibility several deadly attacks on police and army personnel in Sinai.
