A source from the local authority in Aden said Tuesday that Yemeni President, Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi had sent a letter to the House of Representatives to withdraw his resignation submitted January 21. The source added that Hadi explained in the letter his reasons to withdraw his resignation after he got rid of the security pressures imposed by the Houthi rebels. In the letter, Hadi called on the ministers to work from the city of Aden until the Houthis release the Head of the government under house arrest in Sanaa. Last Saturday, Hadi resumed the exercise of his duties as Yemen's president at the presidential palace in Aden. On February 6, the Houthi rebel group announced that they had dissolved the parliament and installed a "presidential council" to run the country in the face of a power vacuum, as well as releasing a constitutional declaration of 16 articles, including the formation of a new parliament of 551 members to replace the dissolved parliament.
