Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al Abadi met Monday with French army's chief of staff, Bertrand Ract-Madoux in Baghdad to discuss the possibility of increasing the international coalition air raids on Islamic State (IS). Commander-in-chief of the Iraqi army, Al-Abadi also discussed expanding the military cooperation between the two countries, including arming and training the Iraqi military units, in addition to exchanging Intel and addressing the flow of terrorist in both regions, the Middle East and Europe. Furthermore, Al-Abadi stressed on the threat of IS on Europe and the world, highlighting the need to increase the foreign military support in Iraq in order to eliminate IS.
