UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon left Saudi Arabia Sunday after a two-day visit to discuss the latest developments of the Yemeni crisis with King Salman Bin Abdulaziz. During his visit Ban Ki-moon stressed that the crisis in Yemen must be solved through political means, pointing out that the Houthi rebel movement and the former president, Ali Abdullah Saleh are ruining the transitional period. He added that Yemeni President Abd-Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, who resigned last month, must return to power. "The situation is very, very seriously deteriorating. With the Houthis taking power and making this government vacuum, there must be restoration of legitimacy of President Hadi." Ban Ki-moon said. On February 6, the Houthis group announced that they had dissolved parliament and installed a "presidential council" to run the country in the face of a power vacuum. The group released a constitutional declaration of 16 articles, including the formation of a new parliament of 551 members to replace the dissolved parliament.
