Egypt's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology will host December 16 to 18, the 36th session of the Executive Bureau for Arab Telecommunications and Information Council of Ministers in Cairo. The ministry will also host the 18th Round of the Arab Telecommunications and Information Council of Ministers meeting, saying, in its statements today, that officials will discuss Arab joint projects in the ICT sector. The main target of the mentioned events is to build a common vision and suggest ICT initiatives in the Arab World, as well as new methods of cooperation. The Executive Bureau includes Arab ICT Ministers in Egypt, Qatar, Algeria, Kuwait, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Somalia. Egypt heads the bureau in the current round for a period of two years (2013- 2014) with Qatar as Vice Chair. The events give opportunity to hold joint meetings and discuss cooperation on both bilateral and regional levels.
