Kuwait-Suhag service THE national carrier revealed this week plans to operate a new international service to Kuwait from the Upper Egypt city of Suhag. Effective next Thursday 30 September, the airline will operate two flights weekly between the two cities via Cairo. The carrier in July launched a domestic service between Cairo and Suhag, shortly after the newly constructed Suhag airport was inaugurated. The domestic service was operated by the domestic airline EgyptAir Express. But not the international connection. "As an international service and to serve Kuwait with bigger aircraft, we decided to switch the operation from Express airlines which operates a fleet of small planes to the main airline which mainly uses medium and wide airplanes to better serve the route from Cairo-Suhag-Kuwait," explained EgyptAir airlines chairman captain Alaa Ashour.
