Sharm El-Sheikh didn't sleep last week. Hosting the second round of the World Youth Forum (WYF), the Red Sea resort was swarming with youth coming in for the event. While hitting the streets by night, the 5,000 delegates were diligently attending a packed agenda during the day in the city's conference hall. Youths could be seen making their way from session to session, mingling with each other and listening to global leaders and personalities. They also enjoyed their fair share of entertainment whether in culture, arts, theatre or musical performances. From post-conflict challenges to social media addiction, the WYF saw young people involved in debating issues that will shape their future. The event's 32 sessions altogether lasted for 70 hours with 141 speakers from around the world touching upon the conference's three main themes: peace, development and creativity. Several events also took place on the sidelines. The two-day Model Arab-African Summit (MAAS) was held according to the recommendations of the WYF in November 2017, as well as subsequent recommendations from the African Union Simulation held in May 2018. The Startup Vein provided participants with a map of the journey of a startup in Egypt and around the world, which others can follow and learn from. Sports was also on the menu. On the last day of the forum a bike marathon took place. President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi participated earlier Tuesday in the Peace Marathon held on the forum's sidelines, the presidency announced. Al-Sisi also inaugurated the World Youth Theatre, with 32 young people from around the world showing their talents in a variety of performances including musicals, plays, stand-up comedy and inspirational talks. In addition, Al-Sisi inaugurated the Reviving Humanity Memorial, a collection of sculptures designed by 72 artists as a message to the world to unite, inspire and remember shared humanity at a time when war and acts of terror have become widespread. discuss the impact of social networking. - Formulating an integrated approach by the National Training Academy to teach trainers in innovation and entrepreneurship from several countries.
