Sun 15, 1-2pm: A percussion Master class with Luis Tabuenca. Spanish percussionist and composer Luis Tabuenca focuses on contemporary and experimental music and is also active in the international improvising music scene. His compositions explore the borderlines between improvised and composed music and include works for solo instruments, chamber music, contemporary dance-, and film-music. The EECMS presents the ‘Music Talks on a Gallery Tour' in Cairo in conjunction with the Cairo Contemporary Music Days 2018. Al Mashrabia Gallery, Art Talks Gallery and Aisha Fahmy Centre of Art will host a very rich and diverse set of Music Talks where the audience will be able to interact with and get first hand impressions of guest artists. The talks will feature Hannes Seidl, Oliver Schneller, the renowned musician and curator Kamilya Jubran, and Cathy Graham, the Global Music Director of the British Council.
