“The Colorful Lure of India”, a photography exhibition by Egyptian photographer Boulos Isaac. The exhibition will feature a collection of photographs on the many facets of India's culture, customs, and landscapes.
Isaac is specialized in monuments and artifacts photography since 2005. He is a photography instructor for hobbyists since 1995 and at Nikon School of Photography, Egypt. He has contributed in several projects with World monuments Fund, Musée Sans Frontières, The AUC Press and Saint Marc Foundation. He is the photographer of “The Treasures of Islamic Art in the Museums of Cairo” and “The Treasures of Coptic Art” published by AUC Press

“When Art Becomes Liberty: The Egyptian Surrealists (1938-1965),”an international touring exhibition organized by Sharjah Art Foundation, the Ministry of Culture, Sector of Fine Arts and the American University in Cairo. The exhibitionfocuses on the evolution of the Egyptian Surrealist group and their relationship with their Western and international counterparts. It alsodocuments a pivotal chapter of modernism in Egypt that spans from the late 1930's to the early 1960's and highlights the multifaceted aspects of modernity and its global interconnectedness in the 20th century.More than 150 works have been brought together, many for the first time, including substantial loans from important Egyptian public and private collections that have never before been toured outside of the country(closing29 October).

City of the Dead

“SULTAN'S Fair,”highlights the work of traditional craftspeople, mostly those living and working in the City of the Dead, contemporary Egyptian and international artists, and not-for-profit organisations across historic Cairo who promote art and culture. The event is organised by ARCHiNOS Architecture in the Sultan Qaitbey area to bring together different communities in promotion of tangible and intangible heritage, introducing diverse art and cultures and providing access to culture and art for the unprivileged community. SULTAN'S Fair unveils works of Italian artist Paolo Peroni. He creatively explores how between the natural world and produced object, the human intermediary continuously self-develops. His art expresses an intense reflection and conveys intuitive concepts on the tensions between the individual, the group, and the external environment, and on urban development as a continuing need to destroy in order to rebuild. His residency is supported by the Italian Cultural Institute in Cairo (Friday 21 October, 4-8pm).

“The Contents of the Grocery Bag,” is Mohammed Allam's solo exhibition which is a multimedia installation that extends over the different rooms of our exhibition space. The installation is based on an extensive collection of video, text and sound materials that the artist filmed and collected throughout the past two years.
It combines moving images with contemporary dance and choreography. The camera, maneuvered by the artist, engages with improvised dance performances by collaborators Mako Kubeck, Kae Kubo, Mona Gamil and Hussam Jaduo that Allam invited to work on the project with him (closing22 October).

Permanent exhibition of the handicraft centre's products, including pottery, brass artworks and jewellery.
The Ninth Annual Traditional Crafts Festival sheds light this year on the African roots of the Egyptian identity. It will feature a traditional fashion show presenting 25 unique pieces produced by the Art and Life Centre, in addition to a miscellaneous exhibition showcases leather embroidery products and silver jewellery. On the sidelines of the festival, a number of art workshops and folk dance shows will be offered (closing 20 October).

“Buzz of Bristles,”a painting exhibition by artist Murugaraj Dhamodaran held under the auspices of HE. Ambassador of India to Egypt Sanjay Bhattacharyya.
The artist, who is an Indian diplomat currently working as Third Secretary in Embassy of India, Cairo, displays 60 paintings. He is presenting his display under different categories as ‘Indian dance forms', ‘Dichotomy style' and ‘Story telling'. He has used acrylic, poster and pencils for the creation of his artworks (23-27 October).

“The RIBA President's Medals Award Exhibition 2015,” is organized by the BA, alongside the award ceremony of the Hassan Fathi Award for Architecture on 2 November 2016, in collaboration with the Royal Institute of British Architects.
The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) awards the RIBA President's Medals annually as a way to celebrate and promote excellence in the study of architecture, reward talent and encourage architectural debate worldwide.
The exhibition showcases the winners and a selection of entries submitted to the 2015 awards.
Over the last few years, the President's Medals exhibitions have toured to venues throughout the UK and also travelled internationally to Australia, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Ireland, Lebanon, Malaysia, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates (26 October- 9 November).
