“Al-Masry Al-Youm — Interferences with a Journal,” an exhibition by Hisham Al-Zeiny. Mashrabia has selected a group of mixed-media collages that originally appeared on the pages of Al-Masry Al-Youm, one of the most popular newspapers in Egypt. The title puns on a reflection on contemporary Egypt, while examining the role of the traditional media at a crucial time in Egyptian history. Images of football players overlap and mix with articles and news about politics, economy and culture, metaphorically addressing the need for dynamism and change called for by liberal youth (closing 10 March).
“Hippopotamus Amphibious,” an exhibition of sculptures on the theme of the hippopotamus by Ahmed Askalany (13 March-14 April).

“Bird View Aerials: Aerial Photographs and Video Footage,” an exhibition of aerial cinematography still shots, including video footage by AUC alumni student Mohamed Abdel-Razek. The photographs include shots of the sea, beaches, clubs, views of Cairo, as well as shots of the AUC's new campus. This is the first aerial cinematography exhibition in the history of Egypt (closing 31 March).
