Thurs 5, 9am to 3.30pm: “Cultural Survival in Egypt in the 21st Century,” the 22nd Annual AUC Research Conference, organized by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences in cooperation with the Research Institute for a Sustainable Environment (RISE). Tariq Tawfik, director of the Grand Egyptian Museum, will give the keynote address. Other featured guests include Nathaniel Bowditch, dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at AUC; Richard Tutwiler, founding director of RISE at AUC; and Khaled Tarabieh, assistant professor of architecture at AUC.
