Still Life (China, 2006), Han Sanming, a miner searching for his ex-wife whom he left 16 years ago, directed by Jia Zhang-Ke. The film is a winner of the Golden Lion Award at Venice Film Festival in 2006 (28 March, 6:30pm & 31 March, 9:30pm) (English and Arabic subtitles).
Nostalgia for the Light (Chile/France, 2010), documentary featuring the consequences of Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship in Chile. The film illustrates the struggle of the Chilean women in search for the remnants of their relatives in the desert, directed by Patricio Guzmán. The film received the European Film Award for Best Documentary in 2010 (28 March, 9:30pm & 31 March, 6:30pm) (English and Arabic subtitles).
