Egypt was crowned the biathle winner as it claimed the gold medal at the teams event. The team comprised Yasser Hefni, Mohamed Eid and Al-Hassan Al-Ghawas. The Egyptians ended ahead of England by only 32 seconds.
The host nation Cyprus followed third, eight minutes and 59 seconds later.
The biathle includes two disciplines: running and swimming.
The triathle includes running, swimming and shooting. In the championship, the Egyptians claimed 14 medals -- two gold, seven silver and five bronze medals.
The gold medals were won by Sondos Tarek and Haidi Adel in the under-16 and U-14 competitions. Seven athletes won the silver medal in different age categories, including Yasser Hefni in the seniors event, Mahmoud Gaber in the under 21, Ahmed Al-Banna in the under 18, Sherif Nazir under 16, Adham Ali under 14, Ahmed Hanafi under 12 and Ahmed Mohamed under 10.
The five bronze medals went to Islam Hamed in the under 21, Ahmed Hossam Shahein under 16, Omar Hamza under 14, Ahmed Al-Nagga under 12, Mohamed Mohamed in the under 10 competition.
Altogether 330 male and female athletes from 26 countries took part in the two championships. The Egyptian delegation consisted of 30 male and female athletes representing all age categories.
