♣ Despite Egypt's current security concerns, the North Coast and Sharm El-Sheikh resorts are overcrowded by holiday-makers seeking shelter on the beach. It was in this context that the North Coast holiday-makers enjoyed the voice of pop singer Claudia who — stunning in a black gown designed by Hisham Abul-Ela — performed her own as well as Abdel-Halim Hafez and Warda songs, accompanied by her band. Another North Coast concert, organised by business tycoon Raouf Sobhi, featured Oriental dancer Dina and DJ Simon.
